The Opportunity
At our Temuka branch, you will join a tight-knit team of 20 professionals dedicated to engineering mobile and fixed-plant farming structures. Our equipment helps farmers across New Zealand and Australia manage livestock more efficiently through award-winning technology.
In this role, you won’t just be “fusing metal”—you’ll be manufacturing automated solutions that solve real-world agricultural challenges.
Role Responsibilities
- Precision Welding: Execute high-quality alloy metal product assemblies and process parts.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and work directly from technical drawings to manufacture automated animal management equipment.
- Accuracy & Quality: Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all measurements and cuts are precise.
- Workflow Efficiency: Work effectively to meet production deadlines and targets in a modern workshop featuring both manual and robotic systems.
- Safety Leadership: Strictly adhere to New Zealand Health & Safety standards and company SOPs.
What We’re Looking For
We value reliability, a learning mindset, and a collaborative spirit. To be successful, you should demonstrate:
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional alloy welding experience.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow design/SOP instructions.
- Reliability: A consistent work record with a reputation for being punctual and dependable.
- Team Player: A helpful nature and the ability to work well within a collaborative team.
- Compliance: You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Note: A Trade Certificate is not required but is highly valued and preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Pay: $26–$32 per hour (based on experience).
- Overtime Rates: 1.5x OT rates apply for hours worked over 40 per week.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (plus overtime when available).
